Camping is one interesting method fun loving people opt for during vacations and to completely be glad they did, there are some crucial facilities to invest on. Such people may not know how easy it is to buy a high quality and functional sleeping bag until they embark on a serious search. These types of bags are important to facilitate sleep outside the houses and lately there are countless styles, quality of materials and colors to choose from. If campers research well, they are likely to purchase a sleeping bag that will satisfy their needs and be very durable. It is important to consider each of the following tips in selection.

All season or part campers need to start the search with a consideration of temperature range they would prefer depending on the time they are planning to go hiking. For instance, if a person is a frequent camper for three seasons, when they visit the shops they should search for positive 10 to 32 degrees Celsius and tagged 3-season. Similarly, if the sleeping bag is targeted only for winter and summer seasons, search for negative 10 degrees and below and positive 32 degrees and higher respectively. If it is for chilly weather camping such as spring, the camper should purchase the one rated positive 10 and negative 10 degrees. A lesser temperature range rated sleeping bag is likely to keep the user warm even if the warmth levels down and if it goes up, they can always unzip to breath.
After this, select between the synthetic and down sleeping bags. The former is heavy, cheap, and dry fast if it get wet while the latter is light in weight, takes ages to dry if it gets wet and this way looses its padding benefits. (more…)
